What would Stanislaviski say?
In my opinion, I think Stanislaviski would say this is a great show because the main characters on stage didn't really act huge to project their emotions and feelings. The main characters just expressed it with their normal emotions on stage, and just to show the audiences and also used music to display it. Moreover, the actors not just use the sad tones, but they also sang the tones that they want to convey the people. But maybe he didn't like about the music and about all the fancy stuff on stage because it didn't suitable for the naturalism that he wanted to say. The progression of Valjean, maybe he loved to see it because it shows the thinking difference in the character. However, some small characters did also exaggrate their acting maybe they wanted to catch the attention from other people such as the prostitute in some way of acting.
In the solo songs, people are leasing some sort of emotions. But singing is usually through opera and always declarations. Some characters such as Colette and the Thenardiers have the same striaght forward personality, neither good nor bad, so Stanislaviski might not like this because he wants the changing among different characters and also the good and bad personality in one character.
