Technical theatre

For me, I have some connection with technical theatre because when I first came here, I worked as a stage crew. However, it was too long ago that I don’t really remember what did I do. In my opinion,  Technical theatre was the theatre that related to Lights, props, staging, sounds...etc. The entire technical theatre is really important to every actor. I remember the props were in a pattern that the stage crews would label which is which. And to bring the props on the stage, it can help the audiences to know better about the story. When actors have the props on their hands, the audience would acknowledge the situation and the environment that the actors are encountered. Also, staging is important as well, because the upstage and downstage can  emphasize how important the character is. Also, the audiences tend to focus more on the downstage compare to the upstage: it is much easier for audiences to see the actions. Light is another huge part in technical theatre because lights can let audiences to see the most important actions on stage by lighting up the stage left, stage right, upstage and downstage. Sound gives atmosphere to the audiences.
